FOR OWNERS AND BUILDERS

Grande Pointe Landscape Requirements

The ARC standard requires at least 50%  native plants and trees with at least two (2) native non-palm trees at least 10' tall in the front yard or side yard visible from the street.  Grass at the front of the lot near the street is required to prevent sand runoff.  Florida Friendly landscapes encouraged.

GRANDE POINTE PLANT LIST

All plants and trees approved for Grande Pointe can be found on the Grande pointe Plant List.

TREE REMOVAL

Tree removal requires ARC approval. Contact the community manager if there is a tree emergency. Otherwise, identify the tree to be removed on a site plan, include photos, and indicate how many trees you will have remaining in the front and rear yards over 4" caliper to determine if replacement is required.

LOT CLEARING

ARC approval and a Walton County Lot Clearing Permit are required prior to clearing or grubbing of lots except for hand clearing of brush. There is a strong emphasis on native landscape preservation in Grande Pointe and throughout South Walton County - not only to protect the uniqueness of the area but because native landscapes are hot & cold weather hardy and require minimal watering.
